One of the Bible lessons that we covered in preschool Sunday school was the well known story of Joseph and his coat of colors.
Preschoolers are hands-on learners, so I figured what better way to further explore the coat of colors than to create our own.
Items Needed
Construction paper in several colors
Scissors
Glue sticks
Preparation
Before hand, cut out a coat shape out of white construction paper. One for each child. Then cut squares out of several colors of construction paper.
After reading the story and talking about what happened, each preschooler got their own blank coat to decorate using the construction paper squares and glue sticks as they chose.
Below you can see my example and the one created by one of the preschoolers.
