forgive me, all you lovelies…
i’m taking the weekend off because i can’t focus. pardon my pity party, but here’s why…
bear is having some major sleep issues…
he has always been a difficult sleeper, but never like this.
it takes sooo long to get him to go to sleep.
it’s rarely without tears (his and mine)…
and then a few hours later, he wakes up screaming.
he’s upset about odd things, like his blanket or his pillow.
it can take up to an hour to get him back to sleep.
i’m tired. so tired.
i don’t know what to do.
i don’t know how to fix this problem.
i don’t know what i’ve done wrong.
i feel helpless.
i feel frustrated.
i feel like a bad parent.

Oh…I wish I had some answers for you! Gray goes through bouts like this, but it usually only lasts for 3 or 4 days and then it's over…maybe he's just going through a developmental stage? Does he have a night light? Maybe he's scared of something?I hope you get a chance to grab some zzz'z this weekend!
That is terrible…I hope that things improve for you soon. Have you talked to his pediatrician? Thinking and praying for you two!
I was thinking maybe he's scared of something or has had a nightmare? I know how awful it is to get no sleep…hang in there Andie. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon!
Oh you poor thing, this sucks, but you ARE NOT A BAD MOTHER! My twins went through a few month of not sleeping, we all ended up in tears, eventually we had to get in a 'professional' to help, it was hard but totally worked. We used something called the 'disappearing chair'. We still have bad nights at times, but most days they ask to go to bed! My point is, you will get through this together.
Hope you have a restful weekend
Ah try not to get too upset, we have been there many times, as so many have. My sis's fav saying is "This too shall pass", i try to remember it at these times. i wrote a moany type post on this recently while going through a bad patc, might make you feel better: http://www.being-a-mama.blogspot.com/2012/01/night-night-sleep-tight-see-you-in-hour.html
You are an AMAZING mom…there are just little hiccups along the way that keep us on our toes. Ayla went through a 6ish-month period of really bad sleeping. It took us up to an hour to get her to fall asleep and then she'd wake up multiple times in the middle of the night and it would take forever to get her to go to sleep again. We were at that exhausted-we-can't-handle-this-anymore stage so I asked friends for advice and was pointed toward a book called "Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems" by Dr.Ferber. It changed our world. It took three nights and she was falling asleep on her own and sleeping through the night with ZERO issues. I couldn't believe we lost as much sleep as we did when we could have fixed it so easily. I know Ferber gets a lot of crap on his methods…I was iffy at first, but desperate for a solution. After reading just a couple of chapters, I realized that until then, I didn't have a good understanding of what he's really about. Now, if I had the chance to meet him, I would kiss him. 🙂
