as we worked through the days of creation, i wanted something visual for Bear to use to process as well.  so i made a creation story sensory box.  since i introduced it to him for the first time a few weeks ago, he’s asked to do it a few times a week.

day 1God created earth, space, time, and light. He separated the light from the darkness to make day and night.
we dyed rice deep purpley blue to represent space and darkness.

 then added ribbons of light.
day 2 God separated the water from the sky.
added cotton ball clouds
day 3 God created the land and filled it with plants, trees, and other vegatation.
plastic trees and foam flowers
played with dry coffee grounds (dirt of the land)
day 4 God created the sun, moon, and stars.
foam circle sun, die-cut moon, star confetti
day 5 God created the creatures of the water and sky.
bathtub water animals and white feathers

day 6 God created land animals and man.

plastic animals and barbie and ken dolls

day 7 God looked at the wonderful world He made.  God rested.

foam hearts added to signify His love for the world
