It is November and we are in the midst of celebrating all that we’re thankful for.  In today’s climate, there seems to be a divide between being able to celebrate who we are while appreciating and respecting other cultures.  It’s imperative that parents and educators do their part to teach acceptance and love of those different than us. So I created this colorful poster that shows 25 ways to say “thank you” in various languages that you can display to promote diversity and acceptance.

The phrase “thank you” is so imperative to our lives. So why not share with our children the multiple ways that people with other languages express gratitude? This poster is a great addition a preschool or elementary school classroom, or a homeschool environment.  It’s never too early to expose our children to the ways of the world. My kids got a kick out of learning how to say “thank you” in other languages, no matter how rough our pronunciation was. It was so insightful to me to see their willingness to experience other cultures.
