Toddler Playschool: Q is for Queens and Castles {free printable}

Oh, my stars. I was not prepared for the love of all things Princess when I had a little girl.  I’ve always been so non-gender bias, (i.e. boys can play dress up, girls can be construction workers), that I was not prepared for my little miss to become so attached to princesses, castles, and the magic of royalty. So I do all that I can to spin Princess play as empowering, making Prince Charming take a backseat to the Princess’ strength.  So when we hit the letter Q, I was in a quandary about what topic to do.  I remembered that children learn best when lessons are served in a format that appeals to them.  So I planned out a weekly lesson plan based on princesses, queens, castles, and dragons. It’s going to be royally fun!

This curriculum is ideal for 2-3 year olds. We’ll be reinforcing colors and shapes and introducing letters and numbers. There will also be exploration of different themes each week as we proceed through the alphabet. It provides a flexible framework of activity ideas that can used in the home or classroom.
