Hi! I’m Cassie from 3 Dinosaurs. I’m so happy to be here with you today. I blog about simple activities with books and make printable packs. Today, I’m bringing to you one of the crafts my girls did with a book recently. I love to do crafts after reading books. It makes them remember the book better.
We read The Sunflower Sword (Andersen Press Picture Books) by Mark Sperring and Miriam Latimer
is about a boy who wants a sword to whoosh and swoosh. So he can be just like the knights that fight dragons. His mother, who I think is really creative, gives him a sunflower. I love this book because is is creative and fun! And my girls like dragons.

What you need: glue, sunflower dot marker page, lid, paint brush, and construction paper: yellow, green & brown.
The girls started on the green first. They had to take the green paper and tear it to the size they needed.
Rose put the glue on the circles and Amelia put her on the paper she tore.
After they finished with the green they did the brown.
They finished up with the yellow.
